Rebecca grew up in the beautiful countryside around Andover and has spent the majority of her summer holidays on the Mediterranean island of Gozo. These two contrasting landscapes have influence and inspired both her paintings and sculptures. Rebecca is at her happiest painting by the sea and enjoy frequent trips to the quite Norfolk coast.
Rebecca knew that she wanted to study art from a young age, so after leaving the Andover Rebecca went to London to train at Central St. Martins College of art and Design where she gained a first class honours degree in 3 dimensional designs (clay sculpture).
After Rebecca graduating she exhibited at the V and A, The Southbank Centre, Germany as well as in numerous galleries throughout the UK. Her work has been featured in both the Sunday Telegraph and the Sunday Times magazines.
Rebecca went on to design and produce giftware for John Lewis for many years and also work for Hampshire County Council as an Artist in Residence in a number of local schools.
Rebecca now works from her studio overlooking the beautiful Bourne Valley. Her current 3d work includes birds, heads, owls and fish in shades and shapes influenced by landscape and sea, themes which are also reflected in my recent watercolours.Click to book a free ticket
